At Legacy at Oak Meadows, we’ve seen couples light up when they realize their wedding photos can include something truly rare and WILD. Our Texas Longhorn cattle and miniature donkeys aren’t just part of the land; they’ve become part of the story couples take home with them. On our 300-acre farm in Pierson, the natural beauty and unique photo settings give photographers a canvas that feels alive.
Photographers love Texas Longhorn wedding portraits because the cattle’s unique horns and calm presence add authenticity and personality to photos. With various scenic backdrops, including rolling fields, oak trees, and a pond, couples can capture both intimate close-ups and wide-angle shots, creating a memorable and distinctive wedding album.
We offer four main ceremony sites, each with its own character. The brick-paved ceremony space under the oaks creates timeless photos framed by hanging Spanish moss. The open-air Sawgrass Barn has water views and a beautiful fountain! It comfortably seats 180 for the ceremony. It offers photographers golden-hour reflections over the pond. The air-conditioned White Barn can host up to 250 guests, and its white walls and chandeliers set a clean backdrop for both elegant and lively portraits. Just outside, the White Barn North Lawn captures the look of wide Florida skies with barn doors as the frame. These options give couples and their photographers flexibility to match a vision to the setting.

Our Texas Longhorns are one of the most requested features for wedding portraits. Their distinctive horns and calm presence create photos that feel powerful and authentic. Some couples pose with them up close, others prefer wide shots with the herd grazing in the distance. Photographers also love including our miniature donkeys for a playful touch. Having animals on the property turns wedding portraits into something more personal than a staged scene.
Photographers often mention how much variety they get here without leaving the property. We have a vintage International truck with a chandelier hanging above, a Magnolia grove with filtered light, a lake with a dock, towering oak trees draped in moss, a vintage shed overgrown with vines, and of course our Longhorns and mini donkeys. Every one of these settings has been used by couples to create images that tell a full story. From formal group shots on the barn lawn to candid portraits during skeet shooting or fishing in the lake, the range of backdrops adds depth to an album.
When couples book Legacy at Oak Meadows, they receive more than just a barn. Our wedding packages include farm tables, wooden cross-back chairs, props/furniture, complimentary decor like lanterns and garlands, and access to both the bridal and groom’s prep spaces. The bridal cottage offers a private porch and six makeup stations, while the groom’s lounge is designed for comfort with leather seating and even a poker table. Golf cart service is included so photographers can move couples quickly from the barn to the oak canopy to the lake without losing time or light.
We welcome outside licensed and insured caterers, which gives couples the freedom to plan a menu that reflects their tastes. Alcohol can be furnished by the couple as long as it’s served by one of the bartenders from our approved listing. For photographers, this flexibility means styled food and drink presentations that double as photo opportunities. From rustic grazing tables to custom signature cocktails, caterers often create setups that look just as beautiful as they taste. Couples love how these details become part of the story, with candid photos capturing guests around the bar or posed shots highlighting the artistry of the menu.
For couples who want wedding portraits that feel like no one else’s, Legacy at Oak Meadows delivers variety, personality, and space to create. From branding your custom iron into our loft steps to standing beside a Texas Longhorn, your album will carry the story of a day that was truly your own.
